Online registration will allow you the opportunity to make changes and additions to your registration as necessary until Sunday, May 20, 2012.
Registration Information and Fees
- Two exciting features of this year’s conference are Theatre Sports Comedy Troup at the Awards Banquet and Odin Book Store.
- Double your chances of winning a door prize by bringing your own bag from a past conference and register before the early bird deadline to have your name entered twice for a door prize.
Your bag can be from any conference you have attended including BCHPCA Conferences and those hosted by other organizations. - Reconnecting and Sharing Wisdom has applied for CME credits for the conference. Please check back later as we will post what CME credits have been allocated, once the process has been finalized.
Registration categories are defined as follows:
- Presenter is an attendee who is making a presentation during the two day conference.
- Member has paid their 2011 and 2012 membership fees to the BC Hospice Palliative Care Association. Membership will be verified.
- Student is anyone enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution. Proof of enrollment must be provided within two weeks of registration. Proof consists of a copy of the student’s identification card or a letter from the institution’s registrar confirming student status. If proof of student status is not provided the Full Conference registration fee will apply.
- Volunteer is an attendee who volunteers for a BC Hospice/Palliative Care Organization. Volunteer status will be verified.

Registration Fees Include:
The Two Day registration fee for Reconnecting and Sharing Wisdom includes:
- Attendance to all Conferences Sessions on Friday and Saturday
- Coffee and Tea Breaks, Friday’s Breakfast, Friday’s Lunch, Gala Awards Dinner, Saturday’s Breakfast or Saturday Breakfast with Dr. Michael Downing, and Saturday’s Lunch
The One Day registration fee for Reconnecting and Sharing Wisdom includes:
- Attendance to all Conferences Sessions on day of attendance
- Coffee/Tea Breaks and food functions on the day of attendance.
- Does not include the Friday Awards dinner.
PAYMENT, CONFIRMATION AND RECEIPT
(All payments are due in Canadian Funds)
The registration fee is determined by when payment is received, not by the date of submission. Onsite registration fees will be charged onsite for any unpaid pre-registrations.
A confirmation email will be sent shortly after you register. If you submit payment by credit card a receipt will be included. If you wish to pay by cheque, an invoice will be sent to you. Once payment has been received a receipt will be sent.
REGISTRATION DEADLINES
The registration fee category is determined by when the payment is received. The deadline for pre-conference registration is Sunday, May 20, 2012. Registrations will also be accepted onsite. The registration deadlines are as follows:
- Early Bird April 15, 2012
- Post Early Bird As of April 16, 2012
- Online Registration Closes May 20, 2012
- Onsite Registration Opens May 25, 2012
REGISTRATION CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS AND SUBSTITUTION POLICY
Refunds will be available until Tuesday, May 1, 2012 and will be subject to a cancellation fee of $100 per person for all registration categories. As of Wednesday, May 2, 2012 no refunds will be provided, except under extenuating circumstance, however substitutions can be made until Sunday, May 20, 2012. All cancellations or substitutions must be submitted in writing to Sea to Sky Meeting Management at glenda@seatoskymeetings.com.

Dietary Requests
Please identify your dietary requirements during the registration process so that we can make arrangements in advance.
Insurance and Liability
Participants take part in British Columbia Hospice Palliative Care Association, Reconnecting and Sharing Wisdom at their own risk and need to make their own health and travel insurance arrangements.
Accommodation
The Executive Airport Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre is the official hotel and venue of Reconnecting and Sharing Wisdom. When booking your hotel accommodation request the discounted “BC Hospice” rate of $109.95 CAD per room, per night plus applicable taxes, based on single or double occupancy. Applicable taxes are: 12% Harmonized Sales Tax plus 2% Hotel Tax and 1.5% Destination Management Fee. The room rate includes internet and parking.
