Clinical Care

There are many excellent resources available to those who wish to learn more about caring for the dying and their families.

The information included in our website provides only a sample of what is available in the field. The conferences and courses listed are some of the provincial and national events that are currently offered on a regular basis. There are also many international conferences that you may wish to consider and the national hospice or palliative care association of that country may be a place to start.

Catalogue companies have extensive lists, of books, journals and videos, that they will be pleased to send you. In this section, there is a selection of more recent publications that deal with different aspects of death, dying and bereavement: children, spiritual aspects of care and general hospice palliative care information. Most hospice palliative care programs have excellent bibliography lists and libraries as well.

The journals listed can often be found through hospital, university, college or public libraries.
