PURPOSE
BCHPCA is dedicated to representing BC and Yukon Hospices, educating the community at large and organizations on the significance of hospice palliative care, and pushing for equal access to responsive, quality care for persons nearing the end of their lives, their loved ones and grief & bereavement services.
BCHPCA is hosting a week-long Winter Lunch & Learn series on Dementia care for clients, caregivers and interdisciplinary teams with A Palliative Approach to care lens.
EVENT BRIEF
Every year, BCHPCA hosts for its members and the public two Lunch and Learn Series that cover a multitude of topics. Join us virtually on December 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm (PST) for the BC Hospice Palliative Care Association Winter Lunch and Learn Webinar Series: Dementia Care for Clients and Families- A Palliative Approach
In light of the topics that will be covered in this webinar, we see it as valuable not only for hospice palliative care professionals, but also for anyone interested in learning about dementia, caring for themselves and patients, navigating anticipatory grief, and providing end-of-life care to dementia patients.
We are very excited to have our distinguished speakers catalyze conversations, bring training and education about dementia and best practices people can apply to take care of dementia patients, the people they support and themselves while taking care of their loved ones.
***Please note, on December 6th, the BC Centre for Palliative Care will also be hosting an ECHO session on All Together ECHO: Developing Dementia-Inclusive Spaces For Community Access, Participation, And Engagement (DemSCAPE) Please visit thier site for further information.***
